Preseason Epee Camp Gold Medalist Emese Szasz & Gabriele Cimini (Aug 14 – 19)

This camp is designed and led by former Olympic Coach Amgad Badawi. Coach Badawi’s pre-season camps focus on skill-building exercises intended to prepare fencers for the first half of the fencing season.

Italian National Team member Gabriele Cimini and 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Emese Szasz will join Coach Badawi in leading this camp. Ms. Szasz, currently ranked 3rd in the world, will work with each student on strategy, tactics and point control. Mr. Cimini will teach advanced footwork and timing techniques.

IFAD’s gym, constructed in 2016, is a world class fencing facility featuring 13 Olympic size strips with FIE calibrated scoring apparati. Olympic Gold Medalist Giorgio Avola described it as “the BEST fencing facility in the United States.”

In the unfortunate case a camp or clinic is canceled, IFAD will issue a full refund of the fees paid.
